We recently discovered a hidden gem of a section on the GoPro website- Refurbished Cameras. Don't be put off by the name, we were originally skeptical too, but have since purchased five cameras from here and they look and function like new. The cameras available are the Hero 4 Silver, and Hero 4 Black, both great cameras, with full GoPro warranty. With the release of the Hero 5 Black, I suspect some of the "refurbished" models are actually just run-out stock.
Apart from being in a different style of packaging (which is still customised, branded and professional) you will not know the difference from a new one. And the best part is that they are a fraction of the retail price.
