Spot X has designed a custom PCB that allows users to trigger a GoPro (or any other camera) using RS232, PWM or analog data sensors. The first example use-case is shown in this video where we trigger the camera with a VEMCO acoustic tag (which are implanted into animals for movement studies). Video footage of the study animal allows scientists to assess condition, estimate length, and observe behaviours in the wild.
See how our system allows the user to easily customise camera/sensor/light schedule/power/recording duration options over a simple USB configuration.
