Using the Blue Trail Engineering Cobalt termination kits allow us to fit connectors directly to our tether cables, removing the need for bulky polyurethane splice present on many tethers. These connectors are soldered in place, then secured into the backshell with a hydraulic press. We then backfill that shell with a magic epoxy mix for a rugged waterproof seal.
These connectors are small but capable, meaning we can use multiple bulkheads on an endcap without feeling too cramped for space.
