Getting the absolute position of a subsea vehicle can be expensive, and not necessary for many users. Here we show how you can use a topside GPS and software to get positional data displaying in QGroundControl for when you're using a Spot X ArduSub based tow camera or Blue Robotics BR2 ROV. Having a topside position will give you a permanent record of the location of your ROV dive as well as the transect path of your towed video surveys (both on screen recordings and telemetry logs) Enjoy!
