Our 3,000L test tank allows us to calibrate our camera lenses, including custom lens options our customers might request. Using a standard test pattern, we can adjust the focus, depth of field etc to get just the right imagery. For example, some of our clients working in very turbid water request lenses to be focused with a very close focal distance for asset maintenance/inspections etc. Whereas clear water habitat inspections typically need a wider angle view, with a longer focal distance from appx 30cm to infinity.
The test tank also allows us to fully submerge our Blue Robotics BR2 ROVs for proper testing and calibration. Doing all this onsite (rather than on a boat etc) makes minor adjustments simple and convenient, ensuring your machine arrives ready to work!
